A photo of a re-enactor's shelter quarter (Zeltbahn), taken in 2002; whether this was an original item or if it is a reproduction is unknown.
This camouflage has four colours: a light grey-green base, with overprints of darker grey-green and pale red-brown to form the splinter-pattern (the large blotches with straight edges), and a slightly different shade of grey-green for the raindrops
. These latter always run vertically, and are printed over the other three colours.
