A photo of an East German-issue combat jacket (Felddienstanzug) from the author's collection; though undated, it appears to be a first-pattern jacket as issued in the 1960s.
This essentially very simple camouflage pattern consists of a grey-brown base with red-brown, vertical stripes printed over it. The stripes are thin, short and printed close together, making it difficult to paint accurately on a model.
